ABOUT ME
As I prepared for the Peace Corps many people asked me how to stay in touch and know what I'm up to while I'm half way across the world. That's what led me to creating this blog. Now everyone can follow my experiences, good and bad, as I live in Rwanda for 27 months.
Before you begin reading my blog you should know some things about me. I have wanted to join the Peace Corps since I was about 14 years old. In high school, I began traveling and teaching all over the world, including; Ghana, Bali and the Dominican Republic. This is when I truly found my passion for life and I never wanted to stop. As I began to travel, the home body that I once was disappeared and I quickly fell in love with being immersed in different cultures and being surrounded by people who were nothing like me. I quickly discovered teaching was my calling and that I wanted to teach all over the world.
As I prepared to graduate I began applying for the Peace Corps to fulfill my dreams of teaching abroad. After many doctors appointments and background checks I am now officially ready to leave on September 17th 2018.
